IN-Season Tournament

16-player match-play tournament; $5 entry per player 

Played between April 1st and September 30th.

Opponents may choose the specific date and location of their match. 

All matches must be completed by the play-by dates below to avoid possible forfeiture.

• • Round 1 by June 30; Round 2 by July 31; Round 3 by August 31 and Round 4 by September 30

Each time a player wins a match to advance to the next round, he will receive points toward the overall standings -- with the tourney champion🥇receiving up to 600 total points and a WG championship hat. 

• • Round 1 = 100 points/win; Round 2 & 3 = 150 points/win; Round 4 = 200 points/win

  • If two opponents do not complete their match, then the player that participated in [the most] main events during the match window will advance. If neither opponent appeared at an event, then they will both forfeit their spot. A player within that same bracket that has no future opponent due to forfeiture will automatically advance. Any player advancing by forfeit will not receive points for that round.

SUBMIT match results to the commish to update the bracket. Posting scorecard pictures to the Facebook Open Challenge event page is optional, but keeps it relevant and fun!

Choose to compete in an 18-hole round, 9-hole round, or in two separate -- but cumulative -- 9-hole rounds.

Use each player's current handicap index to calculate their Course Handicap for the chosen course. Using the full CH's, the lower handicapper plays off scratch (i.e. apply the stroke difference to the highest indexed HCP holes). 

• • Ex. Player A has a CH of 8 and Player B has a CH of 14. Player B receives a stroke on holes with a scorecard HCP index of 1-6.

A player shall not receive more than 1 stroke on a Par 3.

If the playing handicap differential between players is 3 or greater, a double-digit capper will receive an extra 1/2 stroke to serve as a tiebreaker for one additional hole versus a single-digit capper.

• • Ex. Player B above -- with a 14 hdcp -- receives a 1/2 stroke on the hole with a scorecard HCP index of 7.

Double-digit handicappers shall aim to play from the tees closest to 6,000yd, while single-digit handicappers should play one set of tees back from the double-digit cappers.

In the event of a tie, use total net strokes as a tiebreaker. If this still results in a tie, come to an agreement on a tiebreaker or schedule a rematch if time permits.
